As usual we had an absolute blast with the kids making a box maze, an augmented reality game, digital artwork, coding & personalising catch games on Scratch, as well as making light pens & playing around with some long exposure photography.
I will be emailing a link to those who attended to access the students games as well as putting the link on our website for those who would like to have a look.
The students learnt about what life on Mars might be like, built a Mars colony out of cardboard & designed some of their own challenges for their Lego Edison robots to complete using tablets & drag and drop programming.
The Lego Mindstorms robots were a hit as usual, the students learnt about coding, sensors & how to program their robots to complete some challenges on our Mars mat (no pics for this one, we were too busy!)
We welcomed the amazing Conchita to the team who brings her expertise in robotics & coding as well as her gentle and kind nature in looking after the kids.
Thanks to everyone who came and we are already looking forward to our Easter program.
All the best from the Golden Gear STEAM Lab team.
PS: Our Easter program will open for bookings soon. Don't miss out! Subscribe now to get notifications.
